Our client based in Dublin south are delighted to be growing their team and seek an engineer with concrete experience to assist as Concrete Product Technician. The right candidate plays a key role in the production and quality assurance of concrete products. This role is responsible for preparing, mixing, and testing concrete materials, as well as operating machinery to ensure production runs smoothly. The Concrete Product Technician works closely with other team members to meet production targets and maintain high standards of quality and safety. OB22
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare raw materials according to specified mix designs.
- Operate batching equipment to mix concrete to required standards.
- Monitor and adjust mix ratios to meet quality requirements.
- Conduct on-site tests for strength, slump, and consistency.
- Record and analyse test results to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot quality issues, making necessary adjustments to processes.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain concrete production machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Ensure all machinery is operated safely and efficiently.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and work areas.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain accurate production records, including batch details and quality control data.
- Complete necessary documentation for compliance and quality tracking.
Education & Experience:
- technical or vocational training in concrete technology, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in concrete production, construction, or a similar manufacturing environment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of concrete mix designs, testing, and batching processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards for concrete quality and testing methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information:
Working Hours: Full-time, typically Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
