Role: Key account manager
Location: Dublin 12
Salary: 50k plus commission
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Key Account Manager to support the continued growth of one of our clients. Reporting to the Head of Retail Sales, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major FMCG retail accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build, develop, and maintain strong commercial relationships with category buyers and key stakeholders
- Act as the lead point of contact for buyers across multiple categories within assigned key retail accounts,
- Achieve and exceed sales revenue, margin targets, and agreed KPIs
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, including product listings, range extensions, and promotional activity
- Introduce new products and concepts supported by commercial and category insight
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reports
- Liaise with internal administration, logistics, and stock control teams to ensure product availability
- Forecast product sales on a weekly basis
- Monitor day-to-day orders, deliveries, and non-conformances
- Plan and execute product promotions
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role and industry
- Proficient in Microsoft office systems
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and relevant KPIs
