Role: Route Planner

Location: Cork

Salary: €35-45k D.O.E

We are looking for an experienced route planner for one of our clients based in Cork. The Route Planner is responsible for the efficient planning and execution of the transportation department’s daily operations. This role involves managing routing duties, coordinating collections and deliveries, and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and with great attention to detail. Duties and responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage dates for collections and deliveries
• Ensure that all deliveries and collections are completed in the most efficient manner
• Debrief and communicate regularly with drivers regarding collections, deliveries, and route details.
• Advise depots on any issues or changes related to deliveries and resolve any problems arising.
• Maintain continuous communication with drivers and teams to ensure operational smoothness and prevent delays.
• Reprint and correct export labels as required, ensuring all labels are accurate and aligned with the correct details.
• Maintain and update manifests, ensuring all data is properly recorded and documented.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the transport or logistics sector.
• Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage tasks independently and proactively
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with drivers.
